NEW RELEASE! We’re thrilled to share our fourth vintage of our Afiora Rosé. Comprised entirely of Cabernet Sauvignon from our estate in Santa Ynez, we’ve fondly named this wine “Afiora,” as a tribute to Afiora Grassini. Afiora and her husband, Articondo, were the first members of the Grassini family to leave Pisa, Italy to start a new life in America.

Aromas of raspberry, peach and plush melon offer a welcoming introduction to this lovely wine. The light pink hue, reminiscent of a spring sunset, is luminant in the glass. The palate sizzles with flavors of strawberry, stone fruit, and rhubarb, with underlying traces of fresh white flowers. Comprised entirely of Cabernet Sauvignon grapes from Block 6C of our estate, this wine soaked on the grape skins for only 20 hours to gain that beautiful salmon hue (as opposed to our red wines which spend roughly two weeks on the skins to achieve those deep ruby and garnet colors).

Bright and crisp, this wine sips like a dream, with notes of nectarine and red berries on the finish. Though it is quite light, our 2020 Afiora Rosé demonstrates fantastic depth of flavor and texture. Pair this beautiful fruit-forward wine with a rich creamy cheese, and the layers of flavor will truly shine!
