Celebrating the Anniversary of Articondo & Afiora

On April 30, 1908, Articondo and Afiora Grassini were married in Pisa, Italy—beginning a story that would shape generations of the Grassini family for years to come.

Shortly after their marriage, the couple immigrated to the United States, eventually settling in Minneapolis, where they built a life rooted in family, hospitality, and hard work. Their home became a gathering place for Sunday dinners filled with homemade ravioli, wine, conversation, and the traditions they carried with them from Italy.

Today, their legacy lives on at Grassini Family Vineyards through the family’s continued love of wine, food, and bringing people together around the table. We also have varietals of our estate-grown wines in both Articondo and Afiora’s names. As we remember their anniversary, we raise a glass to the enduring traditions and values that continue to inspire us more than a century later.
