These are tough and uncertain times, and we appreciate your support of our family’s small business!
The “Articondo” is named after Articondo Grassini, the first member of the Grassini family to leave Pisa, Italy and start a new life in America. Articondo loved to garden and cook alongside his wife Afiora. To honor their memory, this wine was crafted to be enjoyed with your favorite dishes in the company of loved ones.
Our 2017 Estate Cabernet exemplifies why Happy Canyon is Santa Barbara’s premier region for growing Bordeaux varietals. This wine is rich in flavor and pulses with energy and vitality. Prominent flavors of red plum and cola greet the palate, along with subtle whispers of baking spice. Dense and concentrated, the mid-weight palate is velvety and nuanced, with a decadent, well-rounded mouthfeel.
"Equipo" is the Spanish term for "team," and we are fortunate to have had the same team ever since we first planted our vines. As an homage to them, we allocated a portion of our vineyard to our “equipo,” and gave them full control over that section. The crew is entrusted with farming decisions regarding irrigation, fertilization, pest control, pruning and everything else Mother Nature might throw at them! A portion of the profits are given back to the team as a small token of our appreciation for all that they do.
NEW RELEASE! We’re thrilled to share our fourth vintage of our Afiora Rosé. Comprised entirely of Cabernet Sauvignon from our estate in Santa Ynez, we’ve fondly named this wine “Afiora,” as a tribute to Afiora Grassini. Afiora and her husband, Articondo, were the first members of the Grassini family to leave Pisa, Italy to start a new life in America.
NEW RELEASE! Our 2020 Sauvignon Blanc opens with fresh aromas of tangerine, clementine, and key lime, with a hint of white flower and orange blossom. Flavors of grapefruit and nectarine greet the palate, adding a refreshing minerality to softer peach notes. This wine is light, polished and refined.
